Good morning Cambridge families, as a follow up to Tuesday's lesson on the fun and health benefits of growing and eating your own vegetables, I wanted to share this video on healthy snack choices.
By checking labels you can chose foods with the least amount of sugar and stay away from artificial flavors.
By cutting the sugar in your food you can eat good things now so you can feel better later.
Some healthy snack ideas are a bowl of yogurt, fruit and granola, a bag of almond and raisins, or carrots and broccoli with a hummus dip.
What is your healthy snack choice?

  1. My mom ALS started out with a foot drop on her left foot. From there her left leg lost all muscle tone and all the entire left leg muscles were almost gone. Also her fingers and thumbs "contract" at times. Left arm is losing muscle tone too,she have been suffering from amyotrophic laterals sclerosis (ALS) disease for the last seven years and had constant pain which really get us worried, especially in her knees, the only treatment for this ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is natural organic treatments honestly ,Multivitamin Herbal Care has the perfect herbal remedy to Motor Neuron Disease including, getting into bed was also another thing she finds impossible. 2. Natural herbs have cured so many illnesses that drugs and injections can't cure. I've seen the great importance of natural herbs and the wonderful work they have done in people's lives. i read people's testimonies online on how they were cured of Herpes, Hpv HIV/AIDS & STDs, Diabetics , Gonorrhea, Hepatitis, Arthritics , etc. by herbal medicine, so i decided to contact the doctor because i know nature has the power to heal anything. I was diagnosed with Herpes for the past years but Dr Chike cured me with his herbs and I referred my aunt and her husband to him immediately because they were both suffering from herpes but to God be the glory, they were cured too .I know it is hard to believe but I am a living testimony. There is no harm trying herbs. Contact Dr on Whats-App . +233502715551. text/call via: +1 (719) 629 0982 , or you can also contact through his Facebook Page @ Dr Chike Herbal Remedy.

Face masks

Good morning Cambridge families, this week we talked about playing our part to stop the spread of germs by social distancing. Another practice just as important in stopping germs is wearing a face mask. Wearing a mask not only protects the person wearing it but more importantly, it protects those people that need extra protection like infants, the elderly and people that have chronic diseases. But sometimes face masks are confusing. You can't always recognize the person wearing one. You can't see their nose or their mouth. Sometimes it hard to hear what they're saying. They can be uncomfortable to wear. The attached video is a social story that helps explain that even though people look different behind a mask, they are still the same person. Wearing a face mask is another way to play our part in protecting ourselves and others.

Need another reason to wear a face mask? Your own protection

Need another reason to wear a face mask? Your own protection on  November 3, 2020  in  Community Health ,  Coronavirus ,  Infection Control ,  Infectious Disease  by  UVM Medical Center By Wouter Rietsema, MD, vice president, population health and information services, UVM Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital. At this point in the pandemic, we’ve learned that wearing a mask is the right thing to do because it protects the people around us. When we talk, cough, sneeze or exhale, facial coverings decrease the amount of infectious droplets that enter the air from our mouths and noses. I wear a mask to protect you. You wear a mask to protect me. Now, there is  growing evidence  that masks also provide protection for the wearer. In fact, studies show that some people who were infected with COVID-19 are still alive today because they wore a mask. So how are masks making a difference? They let  significantly fewer viral particles  get into your body, making it easier and qu

Nurse Reed reads Gregory the Terrible Eater

Good morning Cambridge Families, As you know, one of my favorite topics is how to stay healthy. I'm sure we would all agree that eating healthy food is a very important way to stay healthy. Have you ever noticed that sometimes we don't like a healthy food the first time we try it? Well, did you know you have to try a new food 10 times before your tastebuds can decide whether they really like the food or not? Gregory the Terrible Eater is the story of a goat who eventually learns to like the flavor of cans, boots and newspapers, those foods goats normally like, only by trying them over and over again. Maybe you can try to eat a new healthy food this week? Gregory the Terrible Eater
