COVID-19 spurs demand for home vegetable gardens | Community ...

Good morning Cambridge families, I hear a lot of you have been gardening.
I'm thrilled about that knowing vegetables are such an important part of a healthy diet.  So as a way to inspire all you budding new gardeners, I've attached a video of 11 year old Samuel Davis who several years ago won the Healthy Lunchtime Challenge by using vegetables he grew from his garden. Sam was honored for his winning Sam's Southern Savoring Salmon Supreme recipe at the White House. Maybe you'll be inspired to make a tasty meal with the vegetables you grow. In the meantime, I hope you will continue to plant seeds, eat well and make friends with vegetables.

Nurse Reed reads Gregory the Terrible Eater

Good morning Cambridge Families, As you know, one of my favorite topics is how to stay healthy. I'm sure we would all agree that eating healthy food is a very important way to stay healthy. Have you ever noticed that sometimes we don't like a healthy food the first time we try it? Well, did you know you have to try a new food 10 times before your tastebuds can decide whether they really like the food or not? Gregory the Terrible Eater is the story of a goat who eventually learns to like the flavor of cans, boots and newspapers, those foods goats normally like, only by trying them over and over again. Maybe you can try to eat a new healthy food this week? Gregory the Terrible Eater
