National Pet Week!



Good morning Cambridge families, it's National Pet Week! Did you know that while you are taking care of your pet, your pet is taking care of you?
There have been many studies that show owning a pet is good for your health! When you pet, cuddle or just spending time with your pet it helps decrease feelings of anxiety and loneliness and makes you feel better. And walking your pet is one of the best ways to keep you and your pet healthy.  Studies have shown people that walk their dogs walk on average an extra 30 minutes a day and we know exercise keeps us healthy. And because  pets are fun to spend time with, they can help us feel happier.

World No Tobacco Day is May 31

Dear CAMBRIDGE families, Every year, on May 31, the World Health Organization (WHO) and public health and community partners from across the globe mark World No Tobacco Day, highlighting the health impact of tobacco use and the most effective policies to fight back against the epidemic. The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2020 is on "tobacco and lung health." The campaign will increase awareness on: the negative impact that tobacco has on people’s lung health, from cancer to chronic respiratory disease, the fundamental role lungs play for the health and well-being of all people. This year more than ever the health impacts of smoking are that more concerning. Smoking is not only bad for the smoker but it causes air pollution which impacts us all. Good morning Cambridge families, in the spring and summer months we spend a lot of time outside. You can enjoy the great outdoors but don't forget about the threat of ticks.
